total synthesis of natural products, peptide chemical biology, catalytic asymmetric synthesis
Dr. Jin Cui obtained his Ph.D. from Osaka University in 2015 and worked as a JSPS postdoctoral fellow in Professor Masakatsu Shibasaki’s group at the Institute of Microbial Chemistry (BIKAKEN), Tokyo, where he became a tenured researcher and was promoted as a Senior Researcher. He joined the GBA-IPM in July 2023. His research interests are at the interface between chemistry and biology. Currently, his research focuses on the catalytic asymmetric synthesis of biologically important molecules and the development of peptide-based therapeutics.
