Dr. Shen received his BSc in Statistics from Renmin University of China in 2007 and PhD in Bioinformatics from Uppsala University in 2012. Prior to joining the Greater Bay Area Institute of Precision Medicine (Guangzhou), he held a professorship at Sun Yat-sen University, a tenured Chancellor's Fellow position at the University of Edinburgh, and an assistant professorship at Karolinska Institutet. He has been awarded the prestigious Honorary Fellow status at the University of Edinburgh. Dr. Shen has made significant scholarly contributions to innovative statistical methods in quantitative genetics and big data analytics in genomics. His representative works were published in renowned academic journals such as Nature Genetics, Nature Communications, Circulation, American Journal of Human Genetics, PLOS Genetics, etc. Dr. Shen leads high-impact, large-scale international research projects and is recognized for his contributions in the field of statistical genetics and biostatistics.
