Biostatistics Group

The institute's biostatistics group aims to develop and apply novel statistical methods in genetic studies and multi-omics data analysis. We focus on the genetic dissection of human complex traits and diseases in the context of big data. We are also interested in conducting extensive interdisciplinary research in mathematical science, computing science, and life sciences.

Current key research topics in the group include:

  • Development of statistical genetics methods for genome-wide association studies

  • Dissecting genetic architecture based on high-dimensional genetic and omics data

  • Prediction of complex diseases through statistical modeling and artificial intelligence
